Dub Mixes

After a week of listening to DJ Spooky and Godflesh, Jesu, and Aluk Todolo, I decided to embark on a series of dub excursions. I collaborated with Depression Exorcism to convert some of their ritual ambient pieces to a rhythmic percussive background.

Call Me Burroughs Mixes

I remixed/repurposed three more tracks from William S. Burroughs "Call Me Burroughs" album from 1968. The idea was to bring in Burroughs/Gysin's idea of the cut-up, or third mind to the composition process. No Bueno is more of a traditional dub style, while the other two, Fish Poison Con and Croaker's Conference fit into a post-industrial/dark ambient style. I had a fourth mix, based on Inflexible Authority, going, but Audacity crashed on me, and that was my signal that I was done for the day!
